I’ve system with 2 video playing cards.
Every video card is hooked up to separate shows.
5500XT is hooked up to 4K show through Show port.
R7 250 is hooked up to older monitor through DVI.
If i set in mate show settings older show as major it appears to be like like R7 250 goes in energy saving mode.
Temperature for R7 in
lm-sensors goes right down to 25-30°C.
If i transfer
chromium window with youtube to show hooked up to R7, i am getting 1 body per 15-20 seconds.
Even textual content enter in askubuntu feels laggy.
Similar window on show hooked up to 5500XT works superb.
If i make as major show hooked up to 5500XT every thing works superb.
chromium window with youtube doesn’t drops frames on monitor hooked up to R7.
lm-sensors exhibits that temperature does to ~32°C if nothing is rendered and ~38°C with
chromium and youtube.
First i assumed that downside is in IOMMU choices, that i am giving to kernel through
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="amd_iommu=on iommu=pt " choices additionally not helped.
So my questions:
- How can it’s debugged?
- Is it bug?
- Mate bug?
- Ought to it’s reported to ubuntu builders?
- Is it a characteristic?
Am i able to configure this characteristic?
- OS: Ubuntu 20.04
- CPU: Ryzen 7 1700
- M/B: Asus TUF B450m-Professional
- Video: Sapphire 5500 XT(major pcie slot), PowerColor r7 250(chipset pcie slot).
