I am attempting to setup a embed webpart linked with an inventory of paperwork. I wish to show pdf related to the chosen record report. The precise pdf are inside a doc library and there’s a column (Hyperlink) within the doc record with a hyperlink to the pdf for that report. The Hyperlink column is brief textual content
If I embrace the url instantly inside the iframe code the pdf seems inside the webpart as anticipated
<iframe width="700" peak="700" src="https://xxxxxxxxx.sharepoint.com/websites/xxxxxxxxx/pa/Shared%20Paperwork/my_doc.pdf"></iframe>
BUT I need the pdf showing within the webpart to dynamically change based mostly on the report chosen within the doc record. The hyperlink to the pdf is inside the Hyperlink column.
<iframe width="700" peak="700" src=[$Link]></iframe>
One thing odd that I can not discover any reference to wherever is once I kind the “[$” I get a drop down that includes most of the fields within my document list but not Link. Link is a short text field. Are there restrictions on the field type that can be used within the embed webpart?
I’ve tried using the items available in the dropdown without any luck. Does anyone know of a reference for what these values should be? FileDirRef, FileLeafRef, FileRef, ServerRedirectedEmbedURL, .serverRelativeListUrl. I’ve searched online quite a bit and can’t seem to find a reference.
Other things I’ve tried:
- including the quotes within the iframe code around the link variable “[$Link]”
- together with quotes within the textual content inside the textual content worth within the Hyperlink column of the doc record
I am unsure what else to attempt, anybody have any concepts?
