The aim is a secondary VPN router since Airport Time Capsule doesn’t have that in-built functionality. I’m unsure if Apple Routers have a setting to click on for passthrough visitors or if I’m configuring issues fallacious. Most query analysis turns up a bridge mode and that isn’t what I need. I’m banging my head on a desk since my setup seems right.
Listed below are my router configurations…
Router A is an Apple Airport Time Capsule (final gen earlier than discon) with most present firmware.
Router B is an ASUS AC66U-B1 with most present ASUS firmware.
All Masks are 255.255.255.0. The Apple has IPv6 enabled, the ASUS doesn’t.
Router A’s IP is 10.0.0.1. The DNS server is 18.104.22.168. I assign static IPs to my native units and have DHCP reserved larger up within the record for visitors.
I assigned a static IP to Router B – 10.0.0.2.
Router B’s is aware of it’s WAN tackle is the assigned static IP 10.0.0.2. It is aware of the DNS and Default Gateway are 10.0.0.1. I’ve NAT turned off.
Router B’s LAN is 10.0.1.1 – this fashion the third octet is totally different and never assigning comparable IPs. DHCP is on for my wants.
I plug in B’s WAN to A’s LAN however something connected to Router B won’t hook up with the web. I can’t determine why.
No matter I’m lacking is blindly apparent however I simply can’t see it. Thanks, specialists, in your concepts on this.
